DIPLOMA IN AGRICULTURE
MWICA offers a two and half year Diploma in Agriculture program. The development of this program and its continued redevelopment are in response to industry needs. The college conducts various stakeholder interaction programs to continuously review the needs of the industry. Such interactions have over the years revealed a growing need to build skills in extension work, production of key export oriented crops, irrigation and water systems management, agribusiness, entrepreneurship and various other emerging fields.
On-Campus program
Classes and all associated practical sessions are offered regularly at the college campus in Kasungu albeit with various educational visits to places of interest. The college itself has massive agricultural land. Its proximity to ARET’s Mwimba Research Station enhances its training programs.
Weekend Off-Campus program
The program targets those that wish to pursue the college’s program in agriculture but for some reasons cannot make it during week days.
